Ronnie Burkett’s “Penny Plain”

Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes “Penny Plain” NIADA artist, Ronnie Burkett, profoundly missed by his NIADA pals and fans during
the several years his World-Class-Puppetmaster career has kept him too busy to make it to our conferences, was found to be alive and well and in top form when fellow artists Shelley Thornton and Heather Maciak and NIADA patrons Lynne and Gene Olson journeyed to Vancouver, British Columbia on December 8th, 2011 to see Ronnie’s new theatrical extravaganza, “Penny Plain”, a dark yet humorous tale of the end of mankind. Floyd Bell: New Theme Dolls

Floyd Bell’s new “Theme dolls” were introduced at the Petaluma Arts Center Doll exhibit in California this past August. Theme dolls represent popular holidays as well as Autism, Aids awareness and other popular events. Theme Dolls are cast in resin from molds of Floyd’s wooden original dolls. 6 1/2″ tall with molded hair or braids. Continue reading

I made these little Bunting Babies for over 20 years. The early babies were all dressed in bunting suits. They were so much fun to make that I decided to individualize them into little ornaments for many different seasons. They are wonderful to collect or give away for gifts. Continue reading
